Ich habe einen interessanten Artikel zum Thema eBooks und Piraterie auf Bookbee (Australien) gefunden. Der Autor geht davon aus, dass erst mehr Piraterie die Autoren aus der Gefangenschaft der Verlage befreit und vergleicht dieVerleger mit den sterbenden Labels der Musikindustrie.

As I see it, we have three weapons/ways of creating a new publishing paradigm.
- We have to make the work pay (better) by expanding out reader base dramatically
- We need to give readers more value / another reason to buy (contact with the author should be No.1 here)
- We should try to price the work to make pirating it not worthwhile (this is not to say we should expect to be paid less in total. The aim is to get paid more!).
